How a scan works
When you choose to scan, InsightLens captures the ingredient panel you photograph and uses automated text extraction to identify the words printed on that label. It then compares the extracted text with the Red Flags that you selected. “No selected Red Flags detected” means that the scan did not identify one of your selected items in the readable text. It is not a safety determination.
Image quality, incomplete panels, packaging changes, and text-recognition errors can affect results. When a label appears incomplete or the scan is uncertain, InsightLens shows “Not Sure” and asks you to check the physical label.
What InsightLens does not do
- It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage any medical condition.
- It does not determine whether a food is allergen-free, medically safe, or suitable for a particular diet.
- It does not replace the manufacturer label, a healthcare professional, or emergency medical advice.

Your selected Red Flags
Red Flags are selected by you. They may represent personal preferences, ingredients you wish to avoid, or other criteria. InsightLens does not validate a Red Flag as a medical recommendation and does not provide a clinical interpretation of it.
